The document info is saying that one of my agents isn't active. How do I figure out which one it is? They all have a priority set (i.e. none are "off").

The agents are really slow so it's not as simple as just changing something and waiting for them to update...

For an agent to be inactive if must be set so by one of two way:
  • By setting $AgentPriority to -1.
  • Via UI pop-ups on the Get Info 'agent' tab or the Action Inspector's 'Query' tab. Both these controls simply set the note(s) $AgentPriority value.
Therefore if you make an agent with this query:

$AgentPriority==-1

you should get only the inactive agents. Another approach people use is to set a rule for the agent that changes the agent's $Color or $Badge when the agent is inactive.

Ah I'm pretty sure it's just a bug. If I set an agent to "highest" priority, then it reduces the active count by 1. Reset the priority to "normal" and the active count goes back up.

I'll send to support...

Low priority agents were being miscounted as disabled; this should be fixed in the b199 backstage release.
