Title: Looking to display $DueDate
Post by Steve Zeoli on Dec 29th, 2016, 2:00pm

I would like to show the note name and its due date in short form. As best I can tell, this display expression should do that:

$Name+" - " +$DueDate.format("1")

But the result I get is this:

Event + 1

Clearly I am doing something wrong, but can't figure out just what. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I suspect you mean 'l', i.e. lowercase 'L' for the format string rather than '1' the numeral one - the difference is easy to miss in many fonts.

Thanks, Mark. I tried that and it didn't seem to work, but now it is, so I was probably doing something else wrong in addition.

Good.  For later readers, this article on date format strings may be useful.
