Progress bars
Mar 5th, 2008, 3:41am

Maybe it's me, but while both the website and the user manual talk about progress bars
being new types of patterns for notes in 4.x I can't seem to find or to be able to use
them.
What am I doing wrong?
Shouldn't I find bar and vbar as option in the Note -> Pattern menu?

Thanks in advance!

Setting the pattern to bar(50) gives you a 50% progress bar.  Similarly, vbar(75) gives you a 75% progress bar.  You can do this in QuickStamp, for example, but usually you'll have an action or rule that sets the pattern:

       Pattern="bar("+$WordCount+")"

Thanks Mark: the user manual incorrectly says you can set bar patterns from the Note menu, but the method you suggested worked like a charm.
