Menu item to toggle in-place editing

Please consider adding a item to the Edit menu to toggle in-place editing.    It could have a hot key, such as cmd-E or cmd-I.

I turn in-place editing on and off, depending on what I'm doing with the file at that time.  It would save key strokes not to have to refer to the document's preference panel to do this.
