Text search updates while typing in notes
Mar 06th, 2009, 1:39pm

Most of the time when I make links from text to note, I copy and paste text from the note into the find dialogue to locate relevant notes.

If there were a feature that searched live for other occurences of the text as I composed it, and accrued them as a list, I could make the links without copying and pasting.

Such a feature may also cut down on the need to re-write and encourage deeper linking by bringing older information to the forefront of writing.

I realise this is like the "similar to" feature perhaps it could have an option to update as you write.

I think this really belongs in "New Features".

There are a few issues that would require careful thought. How is the search scoped?  Does it replace the current search in the Find window?
