Mark A. - just to check. Now as I read through the file in Tinderbox in Outline View, the CPU is pleasantly subdued, but the text links appear to be dead. Is that by design?

Can you give me a pointer as to some notes where you think links are missing? Whith the note selected, when you click Cmd+\ do you see any links in the Browse Links? All seems to work here, what - more precisely is not happening that you expect?

FWIW, the Rule running on the cover note (which caused the problem) will likely need to wait for the next release for a long-term fix.  In the meantime the only thing that may break is the index page, if exported,  may say it was last updated 'never'.

My error. I'd thought that I merely had to click on a text-link anchor to open the associated note. Now I realise I have to press Cmd-Opt as well. (Probably a confusion with the HTML version which I'd been using in lieu.)

Cmd+Opt highlights the link. Put the cursor inside a link (in a text window) and use Cmd+] to follow the link, this will open a new text window. If you want to re-use the current window there is a doc-level preference for this.

Hi, I am a new Tinderbox user wanting to build the offline html version of aTbRef. I have downloaded the tbx and the image zip file but when I export to HTML from Tinderbox, my local export looks strange. E.g. I do not have the sitemap file.

When I open the sitemap note in HTML view, the template used is "jody". What have I done wrong?

I export by opening the file, then selecting Export to HTML from the file menu.

Thanks!

Aha, it looks like a undetected by-blow of some beta-testing hosed all the templates allocations - certainly for all the notes outside the main content section. I've corrected those and uploaded a fresh zip of the TBX to the aTbRef site.  Let me know if that helps.

Worked like a charm! Thanks! I will now proceed to upload it to my Dropbox so that I can try the iPad/GoodReader trick you posted about Smiley

I think you'll find all he pages using screen grabs and asll the change pages don't export properly. Delving deeper, it looks like the earlier breakage destroyed all non-default set $HTMLExportTemplate data - 200+ notes worth.  I've fixed that in the current master, but that's now irretrievably updated for the upcoming v5.7.2. If I can spare up some time I may be able to fix the current v5.7.1 master zip on the aTbRef site but I can't make any promises as it's a time-consuming task. In diagnosing this problem I have fond and fixed some broken image links in the live pages.

Before someone asks, the reason this didn't show up is I rarely do a complete re-export (into an empty container). Indeed most during-version edits are done by simply exporting the page(s) affected.

Good news, I figured a way to fix the current copy much more quickly. I believe, the zipped TBX on the website should now export correctly, though I've not time to export and visually check all pages - so do please report any remaining template errors

I found one last template loss. Open HTML view on each of the 3 children of /Boilerplate/ and set the template /TEMPLATES/body_text_only. It's no big loos without as it's only the code includes for the Creative Commons stuff and the Google search box.

This last fix is not yet in the TBX zip!
