Pretty Basic Outline Question
Sep 5th, 2011, 1:45pm

How do I export an outline without the numbering?

I want to make a list of my movies to print out and I have 1000+ entered.  I choose to text export and an outline.  All works, except I don't want the order numbers beside each movie...

Ex: 1.1  A Boy and His Dog

I've tried just exporting the title, but I have a space between each movie. I'm trying to import this into Excel and it's reading the space as a row...

The short answer is to use a different template, but for what that should be a little more info would help. Is this one flat list out of a container, or are items nested further?

Flat list.

I used an agent to gather the notes.

In which case, make a new note and make it an export template (tick 'Template' box on the Create dialog). Call the note "Basic_Outline". Put this code as the Text

Code:
^indent^^title^

N.B. don't forget to add a line return after ^title^ so each note title is on a new line.

Now select your agent, open Nakakoji view, select "[name of agent] and contents". From the template selector, pick "Basic_Outline". That should give you the desired outcome.
