If you simply need inventory tracking, a dedicated program will be better.

Where I think Tinderbox might be handy is if you need to think a lot about the things you carry, and about the products you stock.  If your customers are all the same as they've always been, they need the stuff you always carry, and you just need to reorder -- then lots of programs are better.  Tinderbox could be great if you're often needing to think of new ways to help new customers.
