Tinderbox and Wordpress?
Dec 20th, 2011, 7:26pm

Anyone integrating their Tinderbox usage with a Wordpress blog? If so, would you mind explaining what you're doing, the advantage you're seeking, and how it's all going?

Tinderbox is unquestionably the best way to assess and produce content (apart from the current impasse over images); Wordpress offers enormous power for creating and maintaining a web site. A seamless marriage between them would be very powerful indeed. But is it possible?

Possible: almost certainly.

We'd be open to revamping direct weblog support from Tinderbox if there's sufficient interest.  In the interim, linking notes to your WordPress blog shouldn't be difficult, either through command-line solutions or through scripting a weblog editor.

Definite interest from this quarter. I think the roll-your-own Tinderbox weblog concept is attractive, but so potentially daunting and time consuming that very few are going to undertake it. It also imposes limitations in a world awash with plug-in widgets and themes. But if Tinderbox can integrate its content management capabilities to an existing blog framework, that would be really something.

In the interim, linking notes to your WordPress blog shouldn't be difficult, either through command-line solutions or through scripting a weblog editor.

To my mind, you can't use "shouldn't be difficult" in the same sentence as "command-line" or "scripting".

The real "digital divide"! Coders versus users. Said with respect and affection for those on all sides (and full awareness that I am 99.9% on the non-coder side of the divide).

Certainly interested in an easier workflow for such posts.
