Timeline view for History
May 11th, 2014, 4:16pm

I am trying to use the timeline view for historical figuresó I want to add birth and death dates.

I was trying to use "start" and "end" dates, but it won't accept a dates such as 500 BCE.  I created new attributes for birth and death and made them a part of the "person"prototype.

Is it possible to put custom fields in the timeline?  if not, is there another suggested way to make a timeline of historical figures?

Finally, is there a way to indicate "present" meaning the person is still alive?

Thanks,
Steve

For BCE dates, see http://www.acrobatfaq.com/atbref5/index/ObjectsConcepts/AttributesDataTypes/Date....

I don't think there's a method to show 'still alive'. I'd just set an end date for the timeline and then set the $EndDate beyond the timeline finish date. See $TimelineStart and $TimelineEnd.
