I am trying to create a user defined attribute with a boolean value.

I can't seem to figure this out.?

I can create the name but am unable to assign an attribute type to it (e.g string, boolean etc).

  • Open the Inspector (Cmd+1).
  • Select the Document Inspector, second icon button at top of the Inspector.
  • Select the User sub-tab from the lower button bar.
  • Click the button with the gear wheel icon (top right of the pane, click the 'New User Attribute'.
  • In the Name box, type the attribute's name.
  • From the Type pop-up list, select the desired data type (the default is string).
  • You now have a new attribute.
