How to control map layout of an Agent container?
Feb 07th, 2016, 4:07pm

When I'm in map view and I double click on a "normal" container to see its contents, I'm able to (thereafter) return to the main (parent) map view with pretty much no problem.
However,  when I double click on an Agent container, I have all sorts of problems with the layout of the Notes in the Agent container:
  • The Notes are not visible when I open the Agent container; they're out of view.
  • I can reposition them, yes, but that is not permanent; the next time I return to view this Agent's contents, the Notes will be out of the frame again.
  • Also, if I reposition them, when I return to the main (parent) map view, the view is centered on a different position, usually pushing most of the Notes out of view.

Is there something I can do/fix so that when I I double click on an Agent container, the objects are visible when it opens up?  Thanks in advance.

Agents re-sort their map every cycle. to stop this either/both set $CleanupAction (see more) or turn of the agent.

Sorry, I'm not able to help on the issue of map positioning when changing maps.

OK, thanks.  I figure my approach to Tinderbox is totally wrong (still), but if I keep going with the manual and learn more features, I'll get a handle on it.  I'm still not sure if it's the right tool for me or not (I need an organic, creative type, node-based sort of knowledgeable system software with powerful linking, aliasing, and filtering capabilities).  But I thinking that my usual tools—Mindnode, The Brain, Filemaker, OmniOutline, DevonThink, Scrapple—are not quite the right fit for what I'm looking for, hence I'm taking a much harder look at TinderBox.  Maybe I need to watch more YouTube videos to learn about the inner power and flexibility of TB.
