How many Tinderbox files should I have?
Dec 14th, 2016, 4:00pm

I've just started using Tinderbox and my plan is to use it to manage both work and personal tasks.

I'd like to keep a separation between the work and personal stuff so I'll probably have a Tinderbox file for each domain. But my personal work will touch a lot of areas, they'll be side projects I'm currently working on, lists of project I might want to work on someday, blog posts, notes for various research projects, etc. Probably ten to fifteen categories in all.

1. Should I put notes about these 10-15 areas in a single Personal Tinderbox file?
2. If I split them into two Tinderbox files (say Personal-Projects and Personal-WebSite), is it possible to create links between the two Tinderbox files.

Thanks in advance.

You cannot link between Tinderbox files.

The question of "one or several" files is an evergreen debate.  There's a good discussion at the new forum right now: http://forum.eastgate.com/.
