I'd like to keep track of people over time in my TB document about IT companies. I have lists of the boards of directors. For example:
John Smith: worked for World Company from 2000 to 2003
Jack Wood worked for Coolest Servers from 1999 to 2004
Joe White worked for Peach Computers from 2002 to 2008...

I'd like to create an agent to tell TB "search for Joe Smith - what did he do between 2001 and 2007"? And more importantly, I'd like to know if 2 persons are or have been on the same board of directors during a period of time. What is the best way to define an attribute for this? And how can I search for "between 2002 and 2007"? So far, I never used Tinderbox for dates. ( I hope I'm making myself clear.)

Date arithmetic is fairly straightforward; see the Cookbook at http://www.eastgate.com/Tinderbox/cookbook/ for lots of examples.

If you have an agent for the WidgetCorp Board of Directors, you could search for something like

    #inside(/WidgetBoard)

So an agent that looks for directors prior to 2001 might be

    #inside(/WidgetBoard) && $TermExpires < date("Jan 1, 2001")
