STORYSPACE 2 FAQ

Can I open old Storyspace hypertexts in Storyspace 2?

Absolutely! Old documents will be converted to Storyspace 2 automatically. Save them under a new name; keep your old Storyspace files for backup.

Where's Text Import?

You don't need it! Storyspace 2 can open plain text files directly; Storyspace creates a writing space with the contents of the text file in a new, untitled document.

I'm getting a message about QuicktimeLib. What do I do?

Storyspace 2 needs QuickTime 4 or later. This is included with recent MacOS installations. You can get QuickTime free from Apple: www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

I was a beta tester, and now I'm having trouble registering the final release. Can you help?

Quit Storyspace, and discard your Storyspace Preferences.

Can Storyspace 2 run on old, 680x0 Macs?

Not currently, but an experimental build has been created. If you need this, contact Eastgate and let them know.

What about Storyspace 2 for Windows?

Storyspace 2 is approximately feature-equivalent to the current Storyspace for Windows. We expect a new Windows release later this year.

Can we upgrade our office? Our computer lab?

Yes! We offer inexpensive licenses for 10, 50, and 100-workstation packages. If you already own a multi-user license, have great upgrade prices. Email Eastgate, or call us at (800) 562-1638.
