On the Fly Editing

-------

At times, you may need to rework a document in a group. Here are some ground rules to focus on the document's purpose and content:

Computer systems can now make group editing easy!

  1. Typos and spacing problems will be taken care of later. We need to spend our time developing content. So please try not to comment on typos or misspelled words.

  2. One person speaks at a time.

  3. If you have an idea while someone else has the floor, or if two people want to hammer out wording, then go up to a flipchart and write there. When the writer has taken care of the comment, then cross it out in a different color ink.

  4. If we need to brainstorm about something, the recorder will write all the ideas on the flipchart. We will then decide which idea to use.

We can add other ground rules as necessary.
