Scene One

(Jessie posing with her shirt off, standing alongside a potted plant. Euripides after framing the shot realizes he's out of film)

Euripides: Wait one minute. I'll get some film from the car.

Jessie: Just stand here like this?

Euripides: One minute.

(He exits through front door.)

Jessie: I'll talk to the cat.

(Once Euripides is out of the room, Jessie opens a closet door and looks herself over in a full-length mirror. She turns sideways to check out her profile; then looks off into space fingering the peace-symbol that's dangling from a leather cord around her neck. She appears to be dreaming. She brings the peace symbol to her lips and gives it a gentle kiss. There's something beautiful and innocent in the gesture.)
